Obituary

Julie Ann Trujilllo, 82 of Raton, NM, went to be with the Lord, July 2nd, 2026. Born to her parents Maclovio (Mac) and Isabel Salazar July 9 ,1943 in Ione Colorado. Julie was a loving and generous soul, the ultimate mother and wife. She welcomed anyone who needed a ride, a place to stay, or a warm meal. Fiercely protective of those she loved, Julie always put her family and friends before herself.

Julie had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. She never hesitated to put you in your place when needed, and she could take the teasing just as well as she gave it.

Julie was the rock of her family, always supporting their wants and needs while putting herself last. She was truly selfless. Even in her final days, she never wanted to burden anyone with her own needs or wishes.

Above all, Julie loved the Lord and lived with unwavering faith. It was that faith that carried her as she walked with the Son to greet the Father.

Julie is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Bernardo, the love of her life, her parents, brother John Salazar, sisters; Mary (Pinkie) Samora and Virginia (Gin) Chacon, Mary Valdez and grandchildren; Brittany Trujillo, Michelle and Jason Salazar.

She is survived by three sons; Bernard (Tina), P.J. (Amy) and Christoper Trujillo (Gerette), one daughter Sarah Blount (Chad), grandchildren; Meagan, Isis, Alee, D.J., Allie, Hugo, Iban, Jacob, Luke, Gia, Harrison, James and Armando, great-grandchildren; Elaina, Luciano, Natali, Enzo, Zaniyah, Angelyssa, Zachary, Ayla, Megan, Abigail, and Jamielyn, brothers; Mac Arthur (Farty Arty), and Anthony Salazar, a special cousin; Lucy (Lulubell) Muniz, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her grand-dog Chloe.
