Survivors include: his spouse, Ella Dowdy; a daughter, Dianne West; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Brandstatt; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, John Brandstatt; brothers, Calvin White, Charles White and Howard Cruse.
