Jimmy L Ross of Amarillo, TX passed away May 16, 2021. Jimmy was born October 7, 1933 in Dougherty, Ok to Leonard L and Jewell P Ross. He attended Melrose High School in New Mexico. In 1956, he married Beatrice E. Ross.
His son Timmy L Ross; son Ricky L Ross; daughter Tammie L Spinhirne; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren survive Jimmy. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Bill Ross; daughter Vickie Ross.
He was employed with the City of Amarillo for over 35 years. Jimmy served in the United States Army where he was a veteran of the Korean War. He received the National Defensive Service Medal. He was a member of Grace Church. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, fishing and woodworking.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday May 21, 2:00 PM at Llano Cemetery 2900 S Hayes St, Amarillo, TX 79103. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of La Grone Blackburn-Shaw
