Jakie Limiel Hightower

Jakie Limiel Hightower, 65, of Amarillo died Friday, May 12, 2023.

Jake Hightower was born in Amarillo to Bobby Carroll Hightower and Jolene Dale Babitzke Hightower on May 21, 1957.  He graduated from Clarendon High School and Texas Tech University.  Jake married Laura Jan Halbrooks on April 1, 2009, in Amarillo.  They lived in Lubbock and Amarillo, where he worked for Bruckner Truck Center, in several businesses he started, as well as over 15 years as a Journeyman Electrician for B&G Electric in Pampa.  Jake was a hard-working family man who enjoyed fishing and golf as hobbies.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Laura, two daughters, Jaclyn E. Hightower and Raymond Vasek, Grandson Raylan and Meagan L. Hightower and Granddaughter Lucy.  Brothers, Farris K. Hightower, Barry D. Hightower and Sisters Bobbie D. Kerrigan and Judy G. Geisler as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
