Glenda Kay Ford

Glenda Kay Ford, 75, of Sayre, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026. Graveside services are scheduled for 9am, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas.

Glenda was born on February 27, 1951, in Amarillo, Texas, to Robert C. Sansing and Imia Cantwell. She attended Tascosa High School. On June 12, 1971, Glenda married the love of her life, Karl Ford, and together they shared nearly 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Glenda was a licensed beautician with a natural talent and passion for doing hair. She was known for her radiant smile and warm, welcoming personality that could light up any room. Above all, she cherished her family and took great joy in the love she gave to her children and grandchildren.

She had a special love for sunflowers and found happiness in baking, especially when making her beloved chocolate chip cookies. Glenda also enjoyed spending time outdoors, going camping and fishing, and raising her chickens—simple pleasures that brought her great joy.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her husband, Karl Ford; her sons, Karl Wayne Ford Jr. and wife, Kim and Bobby Ford and wife, Shantell; her brother, Robert Sansing and wife, Bonnie and her sister, Carolyn Stroud and husband, Terry; her 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who will all miss her greatly.
