Glenda Chase

Glenda Edwards Chase, 77 of Shamrock, TX passed away September 24, 2025 in her home surround by her family. She was born November 18, 1947 in Shamrock to her parents Leonard “Snuffy” and Ruby Bell Edwards. Glenda was a homemaker, But more importantly a Mother to all and Nanny to many.

She married the love of her life, Darrell Ray Chase, on November 3, 1970, in Abilene, Texas. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to caring for others, always extending kindness and compassion to those around her. She had a special love for people, especially children, and her gentle spirit touched many lives. Her deep faith was the foundation of who she was, and she was a faithful member of both the Church of God and the Assembly of God in Shamrock.

She leaves a large family, Daughters; Vicky Brewer of Naples, FL, Jenny and Husband James Jones of Needles, CA, Lisa and Husband Steven Clay of Hydro, OK and Jamie and husband Jimmy Westbrook of Lubbock, TX. Sons; Alan Chase of Childress, TX, Roger and wife Ouida Chase of Wellman, TX, Micheal and wife Samantha Chase of Amarillo, TX, Derin wife Maria Chase of Wheeler, TX and Steven and wife Shani Chase of Shamrock, TX. 28 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents “Snuffy” and Ruby Edwards, Brothers; Carlos Edwards and Danny Edwards and her dogs “The Babies” Daisy and Lily.
