Mr. Hernández was born on December 31, 1960 in Plainview, Texas to Esperanza and José R.
Hernández. He graduated from Caprock High School in Amarillo, Texas. George worked for
various retail distributors and finally worked for Wal-mart for 15 years. He is preceded in death
by his mother, Esperanza Hernández, his father, José Hernández, his brothers, Clemente
Hernández and Martín Hernández, his niece, Marianna Hernández, his grandson Thomas Joel Villa. Survivors include his wife, Beatriz Hernández, his daughter, Georgette Rocha, his son, Christopher Hernández, his step-daugher, Shelly Sinclair, his step-son, José Garcia, brothers, Xavier Hernandez, Jesse Hernández and wife, Beatrice, Jimmy Hernández and wife, Dolores Hernández, his sisters, Josefina Hernández, Janie Garcia, Rosa Pope and husband, Robert, Esperanza Alegría, Maria Celaya and husband, Gerardo, Lupe Reynoso and husband, Pilo, his grandchildren, Zaylin
Campos, Sergio Campos, Jonathan Paulsen, Jlyn Garcia, Celeste Rocha, Nevaeh Rocha, Francisco Zamora,
Janelle Portillo, Anthony Marez and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
George loved spending time with his wife, Bea and all of his grandchildren and relaxing with his
fur babies while enjoying a cold Budweiser. You never touched his sweets, especially his Oreo
cookies or it would be a fight. He became a fan of day time drama, namely, The Bold and the
Beautiful , while recovering from surgery at home. Distance never stopped George from
supporting his nephews and nieces in all their sports. The Dallas Cowboys, Tejano music and
Diego ¨The Animal¨ Hernández will never have a bigger fan. He played softball and league pool
for many years. He collected aluminum can tabs which at the moment consisted of 7 gallons.
He never would pass up a chance to test his luck on scratch off lottery tickets-luck was always
on his side. He enjoyed good friends and good times. The party did not get started until
George got there. If you knew George, you would never miss out on his dry humor and quick
wit. George was always brutally honest. He had a big heart and strong convictions-just read
his political memes. George was a fighter and a cancer survivor, but God wanted him and now
he is set free. He will always be in our hearts and will be greatly missed. Until we meet again.
