Eulene Elizabeth Ivy Brittain Neuwirth

Eulene Elizabeth Ivy Brittain Neuwirth, 79, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 10am, Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5-7pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the funeral home.

Eulene was born on February 23, 1946, to Earl Ivy and Daisy Lott in Meridian, Mississippi. She attended Travis Middle School and later earned her GED from Amarillo College. Eulene devoted much of her life to being a homemaker and later found great fulfillment working at Opportunity School. 

She had a true gift and passion for gardening, spending countless hours tending to her fruit trees, flowers, vegetables, and grapevines. Eulene also had a soft heart for animals, especially the neighborhood cats she faithfully fed. She enjoyed traveling to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, where she loved shopping and exploring anything related to Billy the Kid.

Eulene was an enthusiastic WWE wrestling fan, especially cheering for Roman Reigns, Ric Flair, and Terry Funk. Though she could be stubborn, she was a devoted “mama bear” at heart. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who knew her lovingly as Granny and Gigi and returned her love many times over.

Eulene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Neuwirth; her siblings, Sharon Uhrich, Joyce Cope, Christine Yarborough, Hazel Ivy, JH Oliver, Rosco Oliver and Bob Glass and her grandchildren, Misty Brittain and Daniel Brittain.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her children, Don Brittain, David Brittain and wife, Shannon, Danny Brittain and wife, Jennifer and Angela Post and husband, Christopher; her brother, Danny Ivy and her sister, Darlene Branch; her grandchildren, Crystal Brittain, Jordan Brittain, George McSmith, Kasey Brittain, Travis Brittain, David Brittain Jr, Brody Brittain, Brett Brittain, Callie Brittain, Star Morales, Crislyn Post, and Damien Post; her great-grandchildren, Isaac McCormick, Aaron Brittain, Jacob McCormick, Caleb Andrews, Mariana Andrews and Delia Morales
