Emil "Zeke" Zundel

Emil J. “Zeke” Zundel, 80, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Mr. Zundel grew up in Paragould, Arkansas and graduated from high school there in 1958.

He moved to Dalhart, Texas at the age of 19 to go to work for the railroad. He retired after 43 years as a railroad engineer from Union Pacific Railroad. He served in the United States Army for 2 years where he served in Korea.

He is preceeded in deathy by his parents, Emil and Ruth Zundel.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Zundel; his son, Nick Zundel; his daughter, Donna Henson; his step-daughters, Cherrie Beasley and Sandy Bongers; his sister, Pat McCrarey; his half-brother, Mike Zundel and several grandkids and great-grandkids.
