Edward was born on September 6, 1931 in Amarillo unto James Meredith and Myrtle Porter Bradford. He was raised and educated in Amarillo. He graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He married Virginia Bates on Dec. 27, 1952 in Amarillo.  While working as a nuclear engineer he and Virginia resided in Ft. Worth, raised their family there, then later moved back to Amarillo after retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife
Survivors include his  three daughters; Denise Hinds, Diane Denham, and Laura Bradford. Four grandchildren;Jennifer Bradford, Holly Lutostanski, Lanna Denham,  and Samuel Denham. One great grandchild Skylar Denham
