Douglas Ray Sanderson

Douglas Sanderson, 73, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on June 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Doug was born on October 27, 1949, in Amarillo, Texas, to Jack and Janelle Sanderson. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his three children: Russell Sanderson of Amarillo, Richard Sanderson of Austin, Megan (Monty) Stone of Amarillo, and Becky Smith, the mother of his children. He was a proud grandpa to four grandchildren: Laken, Ryan, Gavin, and Noah, and four great-grandchildren: Finley, Cohen, Baker, and Barrett. He is also survived by siblings: Don McCoy, Karlene Everett, Jeanette Allen, Jeanne Gass, Jackie Riddle, Marjorie Carnes, Martha LaCasse, Guyette Sanderson, and Jack Sanderson. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Sanderson, his mother Janelle McCoy, his stepdad, Truitt McCoy, and brothers Dee Sanderson and JM Sanderson.

Doug was a master craftsman who owned and operated Kustom Koach Kraft for 52 years.

A private memorial will be held at a later date to honor Doug's life and legacy.
