Dottie White

Dottie White, 77, of Amarillo, Texas, passed from this life on February 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 13, 1948, in Kingston, Arkansas, to Dorothy Armer Lucero and Arlie Armer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Royce White, and her brother Noah Lee Armer.

Dottie was hardworking and capable. She worked proudly at Dino’s Drive-in, Boots ’n Jeans, and Diamond Shamrock, always dedicated to doing things right the first time. Crafty and resourceful, she spent countless hours restoring and beautifying her home, from painting windows to decorating for Christmas and keeping everything shining from floor to ceiling. She loved bringing family together through her cooking. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of something delicious baking in the oven.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Brenda Hadley and Tammy Hyre and her husband Thomas; grandchildren, Kassi Gregory and her husband Nathan, Brady Patterson, Brittany Bacon and her husband Bryan; great grandchildren, Ethan Patterson, Jaxon and Jean Gregory, and Noah and Barrett Bacon; her sisters, Betty Glidewell and Jewel Perry; and many nieces and nephews.

Dottie believed in fairness, hard work, and “the principle of the thing.” Strong, independent, and stubborn in a loving way, she lived her life on her own terms, always doing what she felt was right. She set an example through her actions and will be remembered for her courage and determination.
