Donny Dave Sindle, age 72 of Amarillo won a courageous fight against cancer and went to live with Jesus on Monday morning the 7th of October 2013.
Graveside services will be Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, Texas with Dennis Cliborn officiating. LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo.
Donny was born to the late Virgil F. and Eddyth (Hopper) Sindle on January 28, 1941 in Hampton, Arkansas. He graduated High School from Kirby High in Woodville, Texas in 1959 and went on to serve in the United States Navy until 1963. He married Virginia Kilcrease in 1965 and they lived and raised their two kids David and Cheryl in Woodville, Texas. After retiring from Santa Fe Railroad, Donny and Ginger moved to Amarillo to enjoy their four grandchildren. Donny was preceded in death by his beloved son Donny Dave Sindle Jr. in 1995 and a brother Charles Sindle.
He was known to everyone as "PI" a name given to him by his grandkids. He was a precious soul with a loving heart. He will be greatly missed.
Donny is survived by his wife Ginger Sindle of Amarillo, daughter Chery and husband Mark Ewing of Amarillo, his four grandkids, Tyler, Landen, Collin and Carson Ewing all of Amarillo. Also left behind are his four brothers Bobby, Mike, Jerry and Ronny and his three sisters Annette, Wanda and Sue.
