Dianna Sweet, 56, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm, Friday, May 1, 2026, at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, from 12-2pm.
Dianna was born on July 11, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas, to Doug Wiess and Linda Adkins. She graduated from Amarillo High School and went on to build a dedicated career with Walgreens, where she served as a manager for 15 years.
On August 11, 2000, Dianna married Joe Sweet, and together they shared nearly 26 years of love and commitment. Family was the center of Dianna’s life, and she made it her highest priority to be present for her daughter, grandchildren and loved ones. She was deeply selfless, always putting others before herself, and loved with her whole heart.
Dianna found great joy in listening to audiobooks, often spending hours immersed in a good story and playing a good game on her phone. She cherished time with her grandchildren and adored her dogs and cat. She also enjoyed watching her favorite television shows. One of her most endearing traditions was to spend time together with her daughter, Erin, watching Wheel of Fortune.
Dianna held especially close to her heart the memory of her daughter, Karmi, who passed away on May 11, 2000. She carried that love with her always, reflecting often on the cherished moments they shared.
Dianna will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her kind and giving spirit, and the deep love she shared with all who knew her.
Dianna was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Adkins; her grandmother, Willa Adkins and her beloved daughter, Karmi Villalobos.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Sweet; her daughter, Erin Marquez and husband, Sergio; her father, Doug Wiess; her sister, Angela Mount and her grandchildren, Zayden Marquez, Julian Marquez, Giovanni Marquez and Bentley Marquez.
