Daisy May Spruill

December 15, 1937 — July 3, 2019

Daisy Mae Spruill, 81, of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.

Daisy was born on December 15, 1937 in Childress, TX to Edgar and Ollie Hall. She married the love of her life, Billy Spruill on July 6, 1953 in Memphis, TX and they were together for sixty six years. Daisy was a housewife where she raised five beautiful children. She loved to shop and return it. She would make sure things were exactly how she wanted them or she would return them to the store! She was a great cook and you could always count on three hot meals every day. Her specialties were meat loaf and fried potatoes. Daisy loved to watch old western movies where she was a fan of John Wayne and never missed her soap operas especially Days of Our Lives. Family was the most important thing in Daisy's life and she will be missed greatly by all of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Billy, two daughters, Virginia Beard and husband Ronald and Barbara Ferguson and husband Larry; three sons, Danny Spruill, Tommy Spruill and wife Robin and Billy Spruill and wife Delores; a twin brother; three sisters; sixteen grandchildren and thirty one great grandchildren.
