VISITATION: Saturday, September 28, 2013 11:00 am until service time
FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00PM Saturday, September 28, 2013 at LaGrone- Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pat Phelps officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are by LaGrone- Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors. The family requests that casual attire be worn to the services. Military Honors are by DAV Chapter 26.
Chris was born on November 28, 1948 in Amarillo to George and Ethel Pace. Chris graduated from the “old” Amarillo High School. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Chris worked as a supervisor in the Waste Department with the City of Amarillo until he retired after 30 years of service. Chris enjoyed a good cup of coffee and could always be found drinking coffee with his buddies every morning. Family and Scouts (Troop 62) were a huge part of his life. Chris was an avid reader and could read a novel in a day.
PRECEDED IN DEATH: by his parents.
SURVIVORS: Two sons, Heath Pace and wife Leslie and Jarec Pace and wife Leeann, both of Amarillo; one brother John Pace and wife Sharon of Amarillo; three grandchildren: Mindy, Christopher and Brianna, all of Amarillo.
