Charles Melvin Grant of Amarillo, TX passed away March 24, 2021. He was born June 29, 1927 in Heber Springs, AR to Charles and Mary Grant.
Melvin is survived by daughters Carla Proffitt and husband Don of Hernando, MS, Debbie Justice and husband Carol of Amarillo, TX, a son Dick Grant and wife Cynthia of Flower Mound, TX; a sister Lucille McKee and husband Bill of Dumas, TX, brothers Arkie Grant and wife Pat and brother Bill Grant of CA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Melvin is preceded in death by his wife Dollie Grant.
Melvin was a veteran of the United States Navy and a WWII veteran and a member of the Amarillo Elks Lodge #923.
