Obituary

Cecilia Ann Langdon, 70, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2026 at BSA Hospital, peacefully and surrounded by love.

She was born on June 8, 1956 to Vincent and Doris Black in Tulia, Texas.

Nursing was more than a career to her. It was a part of who she was. She had a heart for caring for others and poured the same love and compassion into her family. She loved her family fiercely and treasured every moment, especially the simple moments that are memories we will hold forever. She found happiness in cooking for the people she loved, because for her a meal was never just a meal; it was a way to bring everyone together and give her love. She loved adventures and making memories with those she loved. She gave so much of herself to the people around her, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all of us.

Her greatest joy was being a MeMe to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters, Christy Cruz, Tammy Tuey (Curtis), and Callie Langdon; three stepsons, David Langdon, Kelly Langdon (Laura Leigh), and Chad Langdon (Michelle); 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sibling, Nick Black; and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Doris Black; Grandmothers Josephine Feelings and Georgia Bell Ferrell; her Aunt Gail Ferrell; the love of her life, David Langdon and cherished son David (Davey) Langdon.

A life that touches the hearts of others will live forever. She will be dearly missed by us all. The celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
