Carmelita Ruiz Escalante
April 20, 1962 — August 31, 2023
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carmelita Escalante who passed away due to illness on August 31, 2023. She was born to Francisco Escalante and Camela Ruiz of Earth TX.
She was a loving and devoted mother who took care of the elderly and anyone who needed help. She worked as an RN and a full-time grandma. Everyone knew her as “Ama”. She was like a mother to everyone she met.
Carmelita is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Eva of Clovis NM, and Maryjane of Earth TX.
She leaves behind 11 kids, 33 grandkids, and 13 great-grandkids.
