Carley Ray Thornton

Carley Ray Thornton, 64, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Amarillo.  He was born on September 17, 1957 to the late Vivian Fairchild Harrington.  On July 27, 1994 he married Judy White in Amarillo.  Ray was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center.  He will be remembered as a hard worker who loved keeping yards looking beautiful.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Thornton;  sons, Cameron VanWinkle and Dale Davidson; daughters, Jacqueline Thornton, Crystal Mangum, Darlene Brown, Pearl Thornton, Jeannie Thornton, Carly Thornton, Alisha Edmunds, Paula Howard, Pam Freeman and Jessica Garrett; sisters, Brenda Huto and husband Carl and Joyce Orcutt; brother, Carl Ray Thornton and wife Sherry; 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Thornton Clark and Alice Thornton Rattle and two brothers, Robert Orcutt and Alfred Orcutt.

A memorial service will be held 4:30 PM Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 1111 N. Buchanan Street in Amarillo.
