Barbara Mae Sigler, 80 of Amarillo went home to her Lord and Savior Sunday, November 19, 2023.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, I 27 and McCormick Road, officiated by a Dear Friend, Milton Jackson.
Barbara was born to James Monroe Sigler and Gracie D. Berry Sigler on July 19th, 1943, in Shamrock, Texas. She was raised in Shamrock and attended Shamrock School.
Barbara was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved to make gifts for her family and friends. Barbara was of the Christian Faith. She was always the first to say a prayer of healing for you. She believed in the power of prayer. She loved watching game shows on television and talking on the telephone with her nieces and friends. She enjoyed reading a good book and working on puzzles.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gracie Sigler; infant baby sister Evelyn Sigler; sister, Loretta Sigler Melton and husband James Melton, brothers, Les Sigler and Eddie Sigler and nephew, James Sigler.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lillie Sigler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Jan Werner for all their selfless acts of caring, comforting, compassionate and dedicated care that was given to not only Barbara, but to all that attend such a wonderful facility. How fortunate for all! Also, a special thanks to all the BSA hospital staff. Your love and support are truly appreciated. Thank you, Keith and Leigh Brooks and Nicole Addison at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors for your sincere compassion during this difficult time.
