Funeral service will be at 10am Monday February 20, 2017 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Bonita Knox officiating.
LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 Coulter Road is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be at 3pm Monday at Rhea Community Cemetery in Rhea

Floyd was born May 8, 1935 in Friona to Robert and Anna (Gallmeier) Schueler. He graduated from Friona High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army, serving two years. Floyd married Glenda Meeks on July 22, 1956. Three children were born to Floyd and Glenda. They lived and farmed in the Rhea community for 50 years. After the farm was sold, Floyd and Glenda moved to Bushland and later to Amarillo. Floyd enjoyed farming, playing “42” and dancing. Floyd served in his church and various organizations as president or a board member.

Floyd is preceded in death by a son, Philip Schueler, his parents, a sister and 3 brothers.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 60 years, Glenda Schueler of Amarillo; two daughters, Beverly Duke of Houston and Stephanie Menke and husband Michael of Bushland; 8 grandchildren, Gwen Whatley of Independence, Kansas, Micah Duke and wife Ellen of Ennis, Anna Duke of Houston, Emilie Hoffart and husband Ryan of Houston, Nathan Tucker and wife Sarah of Binghamton, NY, Gayla Martin and husband RoyDee of Canyon Aaron Tucker and Stephen Menke of Amarillo; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; one sister, Irene Graham of Valparaiso, Indiana and a brother, Arnold Schueler of Dallas.

The family will accept guests and friends Sunday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be to Lutheran Hour Ministries, 660 Mason Ridge Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141 or Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Food Pantry, 3500 Bowie St. Amarillo, TX 79109.
