Clyde William Gunnels

Clyde William Gunnels, 84, peacefully passed from this life surrounded by his family on June 30, 2018. Services will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2pm at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Chapel 8301 S. Coulter Amarillo Tx.

Clyde was born Aug 12, 1933 in Hobart, OK to George Earl and Mabel (McKinney) Gunnels. He married the love of his life, Carol Ann Washington on July 19, 1958 and had 3 daughters whom he adored along with his Grandchildren.

They farmed and ranched in the Field, NM community for over 60 years. His passions in life were family, flying, amusement parks, and cruises. Clyde lived his life in such a way that being around him made you want to be a better person. He never waivered in his faith and served the Lord with all his heart all the days of his life.

Clyde is survived by his wife Carol Gunnels and daughter Jule’ Abernathy and children Taylor (Taris) Smith, Jaden Abernathy and Starla Abernathy. Daughter Rene’ (Monte) Graham and children Sunnie Sartin, April (Logan) Eshom, Austin Graham, Landyn Graham, Hunter Graham. Daughter Rachelle (Brian) Sicher and children Colt Sicher and Ashton Sicher. Great Grandchildren Jaya, Baron, Paisley and Carter.
Honorary pallbearers are Vic Washington (brother in-law) Johnnie Firestone (best friend and cousin), Bryan Kos (loyal friend), David and Philip Gibbs (nephews).
