Jacob William Donaldson, age 23, of Amarillo went to be with his ancestors Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Memorial services will be Monday, March 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Kris Collins officiating.

Jacob was born in Norwich, Connecticut  on March 2, 1991 to William R. and Jennifer Susan (Boutin) Donaldson. He attended Harvard- Ellis Regional Technical High School in Danielson, Ct. He received a certificate in aircraft mechanics from Amarillo College in 2011 and was employed by Bell Helicopter in Amarillo. He has lived in Amarillo for the past 3 1/2 years.

Jacob lived simply and enjoyed the outdoors. Hiking in Palo Duro Canyon and going to the Candian River to ride the trails on his dirt bike or in his jeep were his favorite pastimes. He loved pondering philosophy, flight and space travel. He always dreamed of becoming a pilot so that he could soar above the earth. He was always striving to learn new things and taught himself how to play the guitar, keyboard, and how to dirt bike.

Survivors include his parents Bill and Jennifer Donaldson of Amarillo, two sisters Kimberly Nisbett of Danielson, CT and Jessica Donaldson of Amarillo and one brother, Cameron Donaldson also of Amarillo. He also leaves behind his Paternal grandparents Robert and Christine Donaldson of Amarillo and his Maternal grandparents Mary Landry  Arthur Boutin both of Norwich, CT. He also leaves three special cousins, Anna, Dan and Desmond; and two special nephews Teddy and Lyndon.
