Alex Gonzalez Sr.

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013 in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Rd, Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Gonzalez was born Nov. 15, 1948 in Santa Rosa, Texas. He grew up in Dimmit and attended Dimmit High School. He served our country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970, while stationed in Germany and later attended Amarillo College. Alex had been a resident of Amarillo since 1975 and owned and operated Alex Gonzalez Plumbing. He was a Master Plumber and took great pride in his work and his trade. He enjoyed watching his son, grandson and granddaughter play soccer through the years. Mr. Gonzalez was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Gonzalez
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; a son, Eleazar “Little Alex” Gonzalez and wife Sonia both of Amarillo; his mother, Tirza Hernandez of Santa Rosa; his brother, Jose Hernandez and wife Terry of Austin; his grandson, Eleazar “Baby Alex” Gonzalez and his granddaughter Kyerstynn Gonzalez both of Amarillo.
